We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accountant in Olathe, Kansas, United States. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting our financial operations, including monthly and year-end closings, preparation of financial statements, and overseeing accounts receivable and payable. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and the ability to work cross-functionally to monitor and analyze inventory data. Responsibilities:

• Support monthly and year-end closings and the preparation of financial statements.

• Regularly communicate with the Controller to contribute to key decisions, financial operations, and the development of the company's plans, programs, and policies.

• Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable as needed.

• Stay informed and compliant on accounting pronouncements and resulting reporting requirements.

• Serve as a resource in the development, implementation, and improvement of financial and accounting systems and processes.

• Analyze and track costs related to production, labor, materials, and overhead expenses.

• Conduct account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.

• Manage and reconcile fixed assets.

• Assist in the preparation and conversion to new ERP system. Validate the integrity of the ERP system and conduct regular audits of income statement transactions.

• Assist in preparing and posting journal entries.

• Ensure compliance with GAAP and other accounting standards.

• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.

• Work cross-functionally to assist in monitoring and analyzing inventory data. Help perform audits, assessments, and inventory reconciliations. Conduct in-depth review and analysis of accounts as required.

Requirements • Candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Senior Accountant role or similar

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations is essential

• Familiarity with General Ledger and Journal Entries management is required

• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel are required

• Experience in Month End Close procedures is necessary

• Knowledge of Financial Reporting, Inventory Analysis, and US GAAP is a must

• Experience in Budgeting and Forecasting is desirable

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required

• Candidate must have a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently

• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy is required

• A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field is preferred.
