Description
Robert Half is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Web Developer with a strong background in both backend and frontend development for a client in Transportation Industry. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to support website-related projects, handling both development tasks and tickets. This role involves creating and maintaining custom modules, providing technical support, and ensuring the seamless operation of our website.
Duration: 3-6 month contract-to-hire (W2)
Schedule: Monday-Friday (8-5pm)
Location: 100% but must reside in Washington State
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project work related to the company’s website.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues by addressing website-related support tickets.
Develop, modify, and maintain both backend and frontend functionalities.
Create custom modules and applications using Drupal CMS.
Work with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) for scalable web applications.
Ensure the quality, performance, and responsiveness of applications.
Stay current with web technologies and best practices to continuously improve system functionality.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Collaborating with different teams to manage and execute website-related projects.
Providing support by addressing tickets related to the website’s technical issues.
Developing and maintaining backend systems while handling some frontend development tasks.
Using cloud platforms to ensure optimal performance and scalability of web applications.
Offering prompt and accurate technical support to resolve user issues related to the website.
Requirements
Software Engineering Background: Must have experience primarily with backend development and some frontend capabilities.
Proficient in Programming Languages:
HTML
CSS
JavaScript
PHP
Basic SQL knowledge
Drupal CMS Familiarity: Experience in creating custom modules.
Cloud Platforms: Knowledge of any cloud platform such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
Valid Driver’s License
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
Knowledge of Python and jQuery.
Experience or background in Business Analysis or Project Management.
Desired Soft Skills:
Strong customer service orientation.
Ability to collaborate and work well with cross-functional teams.
Independence and ability to work autonomously on assigned tasks.
Passion for technology and coding, demonstrated by a keen interest in continuous learning.
