Robert Half Staff Accountant in Olyphant, Pennsylvania

Description We are in search of a Staff Accountant to join our team located in Olyphant, Pennsylvania. The Staff Accountant will perform general cost accounting and other related duties, providing crucial support to our financial operations. This role involves various accounting tasks such as weekly check runs, cash flow forecasting, and managing fixed assets.

Responsibilities:

• Execute general cost accounting and other related duties for the organization.

• Carry out weekly check runs and cash flow forecasting.

• Oversee and process employee expense reports in accordance with company travel policy.

• Monitor and process deposits on capital projects and reconcile capital projects monthly.

• Assist with Month End Close/Balance Sheet Reconciliations.

• Aid in annual budgeting activities.

• Prepare periodic reports and statistical analysis reflecting financial results, labor, overhead, and KPI's.

• Assist outside auditors; gather necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.

• Manage the Company’s Fixed Assets to include additions, disposals, and depreciation.

• Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Skills:

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Proficiency in Bank Reconciliations and General Ledger management

• Familiarity with Journal Entries and Month End Close

• Knowledge of NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP software Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management.

• Experience with Bank Reconciliations and General Ledger maintenance.

• Capability to make Journal Entries accurately and efficiently.

• Familiarity with Month End Close procedures and protocols.

• Proficiency in using NetSuite for accounting purposes.

• Experience with Oracle and its applications in accounting.

• Knowledge and experience working with SAP accounting software.

• Ability to work cohesively in a team and independently when required.

• Strong communication skills both written and verbal.

• Attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.

• detail oriented certification such as CPA is a plus but not mandatory.

• At least two years of experience in a similar role.
