Robert Half Accountant in Omaha, Nebraska

Description Robert Half is searching for a Senior Accountant with previous accounting experience who is interested in working with an esteemed Manufacturing firm. In this role, you will be handling financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Strong analytical skills and an aptitude for working in fast-paced environments are musts. Located in Omaha, Nebraska, this Senior Accountant role is with a company in the Manufacturing field. The company boasts excellent compensation and benefits and offers potential for advancement.

How you will make an impact

  • Participate in various department-wide initiatives

  • Ensure corporate accounting policies, procedures, and controls are followed when working with business partners and be able to provide support on special requests

  • Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations

  • Assist in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors

  • Produce monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management purposes

  • Provide monthly accounting closure procedures and deliverables, which includes journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP

  • Present analysis on financial results such as trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.

  • Strong interest in continuously improving the automation of the accounting and reporting process

  • Manage Ad-hoc projects as necessary Requirements - Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus

  • BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred

  • Skill with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required

  • Demonstrated ability in exemplary analytical, quantitative and social skills

  • Strong time management skills preferred

  • 5+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience

  • Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills

  • Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks

  • Prior work done in public accounting is desired

  • Strong communication and social skills

  • SOX internal control assessments (Section 404) experience

  • Strong organizational skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Profit Loss

  • Foundational knowledge in Annual Inventory

  • Cost accounting experience highly desired

  • Command of Profit Loss

  • Proven knowledge of budget forecasting

  • Deep understanding of Asset Inventory

  • ERP system experience
