Robert Half Accounting Clerk in Omaha, Nebraska

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounting Clerk in the Real Estate & Property industry. Based in Omaha, Nebraska, this role is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail and excellent organizational skills. The role involves working with the accounting department in the property management division, handling property accounting functions for various states, with no travel required.

Responsibilities:

• Handle Commercial and Residential Property Accounting tasks

• Conduct Financial Reporting and Budgeting

• Perform CAM Reconciliations and Journal Entries

• Carry out Bank Reconciliation

• Track and Pay Mortgages and Real Estate Taxes

• Handle Accounts Payable entry

• Use Yardi & Appfolio Software for various tasks (training will be provided if not familiar)

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data management

• Maintain attention to detail and demonstrate excellent organizational and time management skills

• Perform general administrative duties as required Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is required for this role.

• Demonstrable experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is essential.

• Familiarity with Billing processes and procedures is necessary.

• The applicant must have practical experience in Data Entry.

• Proficiency in Invoice Processing is a must.

• The candidate should have advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.

• Experience with Yardi software is highly desirable.

• The position requires a strong understanding of real estate and property industry standards and regulations.

• The ideal candidate should have excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for this role.

• The candidate should have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• The position requires the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

• The candidate should have the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks according to business needs.

• Problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on accurate and timely analyses are also required.
