Robert Half Accounts Receivable Clerk in Omaha, Nebraska
Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Clerk in the Professional Services industry located in Omaha, Nebraska. In this role, you will be tasked with managing customer credit applications and records, monitoring customer accounts, and executing appropriate collection actions for overdue payments.
Responsibilities include:
• Processing and verifying customer credit applications with precision and efficiency.
• Accurately maintaining and updating customer credit records.
• Monitoring customer credit accounts regularly and identifying overdue accounts.
• Taking appropriate actions to collect on overdue payments, including contacting customers.
• Building and maintaining relationships with customers to ensure smooth transactions and repeat business.
• Handling all billing inquiries for leased accounts and resolving them promptly.
• Completing monthly billing for all service calls at leased accounts.
• Posting payments daily and reconciling accounts to ensure they balance.
• Undertaking miscellaneous office projects as needed.
• Utilizing skills such as posting payments, posting journal entries, commercial collections, aging accounts, aging reports, and monthly billing. Requirements • Proficiency in posting payments and journal entries
• Experience with collections, both consumer and commercial
• Ability to manage aging accounts and generate aging reports
• Experience in commercial collections
• Familiarity with monthly billing procedures
• Strong communication skills for interaction with clients and team members
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy
• Proficient in the use of accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Relevant certification or degree in accounting or related field would be an advantage.
