Join a company in the Communications field with this open Full Stack Java Developer role from Robert Half Technology. You'll establish and define the scope and objectives of systems, applying your knowledge of software and applications programming and industry requirements. You would provide guidance on developing or altering applications or databases, employing research and fact-finding techniques. This long term temporary-to-fulltime Programmer Analyst opportunity is found in Omaha/Council Bluffs area.
How you will make an impact
Creates dictionaries for applications and systems support by the analyst, and manages updates to maintain them
Create and evaluate programming changes for each systems development phase prior to implementation. Log test cases and expected results. Verify that results meet requirements. May plan basic tests or a defined subset of larger tests. May suggest acceptance/rejection when requirements are not met
Reviews user requests for changes or improvements to systems. Records functional requirements and analyzes cost, feasibility and utility. Makes suggestions regarding how, when and whether to make the changes
Helps create communication content for certain system changes being implemented in production
Trains and assists end users and other partner groups for a particular application, system or process, on an ongoing basis
Analyzes and documents issues. Works with other programmers to correct code problems
Guides internal clients on applications, systems and/or processes for identifying and resolving, processing/reporting programming problems. Provides consultation through troubleshooting and/or education
Analyzes processing procedures. Develops recommendations for improvements

5+ years experience as a project leader for the business portion of developmental applications or major systems improvements
Proficiency in programming languages
General knowledge of mainframe hardware/software and PC operations required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Versatile project planning abilities that include project costing techniques
Comprehensive knowledge of Java 2 Enterprise Edition
