Robert Half Litigation Paralegal in Omaha, Nebraska
Description
As a Litigation Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in supporting our attorneys in all phases of the litigation process.
Responsibilities:
Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.
Conduct thorough legal research using various databases and resources.
Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all documents are accurately filed and easily accessible.
Coordinate with clients, witnesses, and court personnel to schedule meetings, depositions, and hearings.
Prepare for and attend trials, providing support to attorneys during proceedings.
Assist with electronic discovery and document management.
Draft correspondence and communicate with clients as necessary.
Perform administrative tasks such as billing, time entry, and expense tracking.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Paralegal Studies or a related field.
Previous experience as a Litigation Paralegal preferred.
Proficiency in legal research and writing.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency with legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of local and federal court rules and procedures.

Requirements - 2+ years of relevant experience
Adeptness in medical malpractice
E-file experience preferred
Civil litigation experience desired
Commercial Litigation experience
e-Filing experience highly desired
Demonstrated knowledge of estate planning
General familiarity with corporate law
Strong familiarity with Civil Litigation
Constant attention to detail and accuracy, confidentiality
Capability to own projects, writing and negotiating, planning and organizing
Should be savvy with word processing and spreadsheets
Exceptional communication skills that provide the ability to interact with all levels of the organization with a high customer service orientation
Active problem-solver who listens for customer cues and actively resolves problems with grace and integrity
