Description We are in the banking sector, based in Omaha, Nebraska. We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a Loan Processor - Support. The selected candidate will be responsible for processing loan applications, maintaining loan documentation, and ensuring regulatory and bank compliance.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately processing loan applications and maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations such as RESPA, REG Z, TRID, HOEPA, HPML, FLOOD, FACTA, REG B, HMDA, Fair Credit, MLA, etc.
• Understanding and utilizing systems and related functionality, such as Origenate, Laserpro, Jack Henry to perform essential tasks
• Coordinating with other internal departments like Bankers, Underwriting for loan processing
• Ordering and reviewing necessary research items, like flood determinations, title search, valuations, etc., to ensure adherence to regulatory and bank compliance
• Analyzing, investigating, and coordinating collateral verifications through VIN searches, title commitments, appraisals, and ensuring lien perfection based on type of collateral, law, regulations, and geographical location
• Reviewing loan approvals, closing document requests for accuracy and conformance to Bank policy and procedures
• Verifying closed loan file to ensure all closing documents are properly executed and collected from all parties associated with the closing transaction prior to disbursing loan proceeds
• Handling routine inquiries and client service issues promptly
• Continually identifying process improvement opportunities
• Undertaking other duties and assisting with special projects for the bank as assigned. Requirements • Proficiency in using Automated Underwriting System for efficient loan processing
• Demonstrable experience with Calyx, a key tool in loan processing
• Familiarity with Calyx Point for managing loan applications
• Proficient in using CRM software to manage and analyze customer interactions and data
• Strong data processing skills to handle large volumes of loan-related information
• Experience with 'About Time' software for effective time management
• Expertise in conducting appraisals to determine the value of properties for loans
• Understanding of the closing processes involved in finalizing a loan
• Excellent communication skills for clear and effective interactions with clients and colleagues
• Strong compliance knowledge to ensure all loan processes adhere to relevant laws and regulations
• Experience in handling consumer loans and understanding their specific requirements.
