Robert Half Payroll Administrator in Omaha, Nebraska

Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Prevailing Wage Compliance Manager for a client in Omaha, Nebraska. The role is within the service industry, where you will oversee and manage all aspects of payroll operations and compliance. The position is integral to maintaining the financial health of the company.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage full-cycle payroll processes in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.

• Ensure compliance with wage requirements, including wage determination, fringe benefits, overtime pay, and correct classifications of labor.

• Promptly and accurately handle payroll queries, discrepancies, and adjustments.

• Manage electronic timekeeping systems and review timesheets for compliance.

• Prepare payroll reports and conduct regular audits to verify accuracy.

• Collaborate with HR and accounting departments for employee information, pay modifications, and necessary adjustments.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulations affecting payroll and provide advice and guidance to management.

• Prepare and submit necessary certified payroll records to federal and state agencies.

• Collaborate with project teams to ensure correct application of payroll requirements on specific contracts.

• Train and advise team members on information and actions related to payroll laws.

Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role as a Payroll Administrator

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now

• Familiarity with Ceridian and Crystal Reports software

• Experience in 401k - RRSP Administration

• Knowledge of the About Time software

• Proficiency in Accounting Functions

• Experience in Auditing

• Understanding of Benefit Functions

• Familiarity with the Davis Bacon Act of 1931

• Ability to work well in a team and independently

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
