Robert Half Tax Manager - Public in Omaha, Nebraska

Description

As a Tax Manager, the individual will manage a variety of clients and will have the opportunity to successfully manage a wide range of accounting and tax projects. This individual will work closely with partners to manage and train interns and staff accountants. As a Manager you will be responsible for review of individual, business tax returns and other special projects. Managers will be responsible for Attest Services preparation and review.

Position Responsibilities:

Excellent skills of individual and business taxation

Excellent skills of preparation of Individual Federal and State tax returns. Review of individual Federal and State tax returns prepared by staff

Excellent skills and knowledge of preparation of complex business Federal and State tax returns. Review of business tax returns prepared by staff

Excellent skills and preparation of complex Partnership Federal and State tax returns. Review of partnership tax returns prepared by staff

Excellent skills and preparation of research of basic tax issues

Excellent skills and preparation of Federal and State payroll tax returns. Review of Federal and State payroll tax returns prepared by staff

Preparation and review of personal property tax returns

Excellent skills of implementation of QuickBooks and basic accounting service functions

QuickBooks ProAdvisor Certification will be discussed at this level

Excellent preparation of depreciation schedules and knowledge

Proficient ability of preparation Attest Services. Review of financial statements and reports prepared by staff

Requirements

Position Qualifications:

Must have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or similar business degree

Must have 2+ years public accounting experience with CPA license or preparing to sit for exam

Must have excellent computer skills with proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office and QuickBooks

Must have strong oral and written communication skills

Must be detail oriented and have strong organizational skills

Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with project deadlines, and be able to multitask

Knowledge of CCH ProSystem Fx Tax is preferred

Must be willing to work additional hours between January - April and on an as needed basis due to other project deadlines

Excellent Knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, Prosytem Fx Tax and Engagement, and QuickBooks are required.
