We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Tax Preparer in Ontario, California. The role involves supporting individuals and businesses in preparing and filing their tax returns, ensuring compliance with legal standards and tax agency requirements. As a Tax Preparer, you will be engaged in a range of tasks from data collection to tax advice, in a dynamic and demanding environment.

Responsibilities:

• Collect relevant information and financial data from clients such as W-2 forms, expenses, and other necessary documents.

• Prepare tax returns for individuals and small businesses, ranging from simple to complex cases.

• Utilize industry-standard and specialized tax preparation software for data input and tax estimate calculations.

• Review financial records to calculate tax liabilities while ensuring adherence to tax laws and regulations.

• Identify potential tax credits and liabilities and ensure accurate and complete returns are filed promptly.

• Keep updated with the latest tax laws and regulatory changes.

• Provide tax planning advice to clients and resolve issues with tax authorities.

• Maintain well-organized and complete records of all tax documents.

• Uphold client confidentiality and data protection policies.

• Assist with other accounting services as required.

Requirements

• Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Tax Preparer or in a similar role.

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required.

• Financial Services is necessary.

• Demonstrable skills in Accounting Functions and Allowances is needed.

• Strong Customer Service skills are required.

• Proficiency in Data Entry is necessary.

• Knowledge of Deductible and Tax Preparation processes is required.

• Must be a certified Tax Preparer.
