Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Bookkeeper in Orange, California. This role is crucial in our financial department, where you will be tasked with maintaining financial records, conducting bank reconciliations, and managing transactions. This role is integral to our team, ensuring accurate financial data is maintained and available when needed.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately record, store, and analyze financial information for multiple clients
• Manage daily transactions including expenses, cash receipts, and supplier invoices
• Conduct monthly reconciliations of all bank accounts to ensure accurate reporting
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable in a timely manner
• Maintain an organized accounting filing system and manage company’s financial documentation
• Assist in budgeting and planning functions for better financial management
• Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements
• Track and manage company assets ensuring they are accurately accounted for
• Perform other related duties as required to support the financial department
• Process payroll ensuring timely and accurate payment to all employees. Requirements • Proficiency in account reconciliation
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Proficiency in bank reconciliations
• Strong bookkeeping skills
• Proficiency in data entry
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Knowledge of month-end close procedures
• Experience with payroll processing
• Proficiency in QuickBooks software
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
• Prior experience in a similar role would be advantageous.
