Robert Half Desktop Support Analyst in Orangeburg, South Carolina
Description
Robert Half is hiring!! We are offering a role for a Desktop Support Analyst who will be a part of our team. This role is situated in Orangeburg, South Carolina, United States. The job's main function is to provide technical support, maintaining accurate customer records, and resolving customer inquiries.
Responsibilities:
• Setting up, configuring, and troubleshooting both hardware and software, including Windows and Mac OS.
• Utilizing your experience with databases and networks (LAN, WAN) for efficient patch management.
• Applying knowledge of Active Directory concepts and administration for system management.
• Ensuring system security through knowledge of intrusion detection systems and data backup/recovery.
• Maintaining excellent communication with customers to resolve their inquiries.
• Demonstrating resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude in a fast-paced environment.
• Occasionally traveling to other sites for larger projects.
• Working with O365, SharePoint, and Office 2016.
• Applying knowledge of TCP/IP networking and related network services (i.e., DNS, SMTP, DHCP, etc.).
• Lifting up to 50 lbs. as part of the role.
Requirements • Must possess a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a Desktop Support Analyst role or similar IT Support position.
• Strong knowledge and experience with Active Directory.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a detail-oriented mindset.
• Ability to communicate complex technical issues to non-technical users.
• Adept at managing multiple tasks simultaneously and meeting deadlines.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and best practices is desirable.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism.
• Must be able to work independently and as a part of a team.
• Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms.
• Knowledge of LAN/WAN networks, TCP/IP protocols, and network technologies.
• Proficiency in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting hardware, software, and peripherals.
• Practical experience with remote troubleshooting and issue resolution.
