Description We are on the lookout for a diligent Staff Accountant to be a part of our team. The Staff Accountant will be expected to handle tasks related to Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Bank Reconciliations. The job function will also include responsibilities associated with the General Ledger, Journal Entries, and Month End Close. This role is based in Orangeburg, South Carolina, 29116-0387, United States. It offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately processing transactions related to Accounts Payable (AP)

• Overseeing and managing matters related to Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Conducting Bank Reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting

• Managing entries and adjustments in the General Ledger

• Overseeing and recording Journal Entries for financial transactions

• Performing Month End Close activities to finalize financial records for the period

• Utilizing NetSuite for financial management and reporting

• Using Microsoft Excel for data management and analytics

• Employing Tyler Technologies Munis for public sector management. Requirements • Proficiency in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience with bank reconciliations

• Knowledge of General Ledger maintenance

• Familiarity with journal entries

• Ability to manage month-end close processes

• Proficiency in using NetSuite software for accounting tasks

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with Tyler Technologies Munis software

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines

• Knowledge of accounting best practices and regulations

• At least two years of experience in a similar role.
