Robert Half Full Charge Bookkeeper in Orangevale, California

Description A Full Charge Bookkeeper has become available with one of our clients. In this Full Charge Bookkeeper position, you will regulate journal entries, month-end close, cash flow, financial statement preparation, audit, full cycle A/P, payroll, and bank reconciliations. The clerical staff will address any concerns to the Full Charge Bookkeeper. This Bookkeeper role is a great opportunity if you are a self-driven and organized accounting professional who thrives under tight deadlines with minimal supervision. This permanent employment opportunity is based in the Orangevale, California area.

Responsibilities

  • Index budget transfers

  • Other distinguished projects when necessary

  • Iron out subcontractor 1099's, and any other IRS year-end requirement

  • Clarify business license and gross receipts

  • Administrate Accounts Receivable

  • Organize cash account journal entries including loans, taxes, bank fees, 401(k) deductions, etc.

  • Categorize sales tax records and create and file quarterly payments

  • Arrange monthly reconciliations, financial statements and all supporting documents

  • Update Accounts Payable

  • Accomplished in credit card management and reconciliation

  • Formulate cash flow projections, as needed

  • Manage monthly accounting close Requirements - Adeptness in Construction Cost

  • Strong familiarity with construction

  • Comprehensive knowledge of QuickBooks

  • Construction Estimating experience

  • Liens experience required

  • Foundational knowledge in Construction Accounting

  • Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity

  • Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills

  • BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business-related field preferred

    • Significant accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to implement solutions and vendor management experience with good organizational skills

  • Strong organization skills

  • Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines

  • Be detailed, flexible, and organized

  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively throughout all levels of the company
