Exciting Opportunity: Front Desk - Care Coordinator Float (Orlando, FL)
Are you passionate about providing exceptional patient care and keeping healthcare operations running smoothly? We’re looking for a Front Desk - Care Coordinator Float to join our dynamic team in Orlando, FL!
This is a full-time, on-site role with hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
What You'll Be Doing
As a key member of our clinic team, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring a seamless patient experience. Your responsibilities will include:
Welcoming patients with a friendly demeanor and managing a smooth check-in process within a 20-minute wait time.
Assisting with intake procedures, including copying and processing necessary documents.
Coordinating and processing all patient referrals for specialty services.
Accurately entering authorizations for hospital outpatient services, DME, and specialty health services in line with policy and procedures.
Managing consultant reports and routing them promptly to the appropriate physician.
Scheduling appointments and managing incoming calls efficiently.
Maintaining organized records by scanning and filing correspondence in a timely manner.
Providing administrative support to the clinic team and floating to other sites (e.g., Longwood, Orlando) as needed.
About the Team
You’ll be joining a dedicated team that includes:
1 Physician
1 APC (Advanced Practice Clinician)
2 MAs (Medical Assistants)
1 Front Desk Staff
1 Clinic Nurse
The team is collaborative, patient-focused, and committed to delivering excellent care.
Requirements
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate has a healthcare background and a knack for providing stellar customer service. Experience with Medicare Advantage insurance plans and processing referrals is a huge plus.
Required Skills:
1-2 years of related work experience, including data entry.
Familiarity with medical office procedures and terminology.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Effective communication and customer service abilities.
Proficiency in sorting and filing materials by alphabetic or numeric systems.
Preferred Skills:
2+ years of customer service experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Experience with eCW (eClinicalWorks) EMR system.
