Robert Half Medical Front Desk Specialist in Orlando, Florida

Description

We are offering a employment opportunity for a Medical Front Desk Specialist in West Palm Beach, Florida. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring their information is accurately recorded, and assisting with appointment scheduling. Working in a fast-paced healthcare environment, you will use a range of medical software to support patient care and administrative functions.

Responsibilities:

• Greet patients and register them in the EHR system, ensuring their demographic and insurance information is accurate.

• Use designated websites to verify patient benefits and rectify any eligibility errors.

• Communicate effectively with patients about their insurance benefits and other related matters.

• Monitor daily schedules and proactively communicate updates to relevant staff members or patients.

• Handle all incoming calls and emails promptly, providing excellent customer service.

• Schedule and reschedule patient appointments efficiently using Medisoft and other relevant software.

• Assist in collecting payments and conducting insurance verifications.

• Cover tasks for team members as needed, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.

• Continuously self-monitor for mistakes and actively seek feedback to improve work quality.

• Utilize knowledge of insurance verification processes for specialty services, maintaining compliance with all regulations.

Requirements • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical front desk role or similar position

• Proficiency in using medical software such as Allscripts, EHR SYSTEM, Medisoft, eClinicalWorks, Epic Hospital Billing, Epic Software, Epic Clinical, and Electronic Medical Record

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suites, particularly Microsoft Excel

• Experience with billing functions, insurance verifications, and medical insurance verification

• Comfortable with handling patient appointments, including scheduling and confirming appointments

• Knowledge of chiropractic practices and clinical trial operations

• Able to create and interpret charts and graphs

• Understanding of medical front office procedures

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines

• High school diploma or equivalent required, further certification or training in medical administration is advantageous

• Detail-oriented and able to multitask effectively under pressure

• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage patient records efficiently.
