Description
Key Responsibilities:
Network Design and Implementation:
Design and implement network architectures, including local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and virtual private networks (VPNs).
Select and deploy appropriate networking hardware and software components.
Ensure network security and compliance with industry standards.
Network Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to maintain optimal network uptime.
Configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
Implement security measures to protect the network from threats.
Network Administration:
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
Provide network support to end-users and troubleshoot network-related issues.
Maintain network documentation and diagrams.
Network Upgrades and Expansions:
Plan and execute network upgrades and expansions to support business growth.
Stay up-to-date with emerging networking technologies and trends.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Network Administrator or similar role.
Strong understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching).
Experience with network hardware and software (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers).
Knowledge of network security best practices and experience with security technologies (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection systems).
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills:
Certifications related to networking (e.g., CCNA, CCNP).
Experience with cloud-based networking solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure).
Scripting or programming experience (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
