Robert Half International Payroll Clerk in Orlando, Florida

Accountemps is seeking a Payroll Clerk to join the dynamic, fast-growing team at one of our clients in the Wholesale Distribution - Non-Durable industry! The tasks in this role will include supporting the Payroll department in a variety of duties, including data entry, reconciliation of timecards, paycheck distribution and providing statements to various departments. You should be experienced in communicating between various teams, such as the internal team and outside customers. An influential company has a current opening for a Payroll Clerk. This position is a great opportunity for candidates that enjoy being challenged and are looking to grow their career. This Payroll Clerk opportunity is based in the Orlando, Florida area and is a short-term temporary-to-full-time employment role.

Your responsibilities

  • Be the main point of instruction/training contact to employees regarding payroll-related best practices

  • Contact employees via email and phone to obtain timesheet approvals

  • Carry out clerical duties such as filing, scanning, faxing, photocopying, etc

  • Administer and distribute reports as instructed

  • Compile data into spreadsheets and the payroll system

  • Build and run custom reports

  • Data entry into spreadsheets and the payroll system

Requirements

  • Possess strong organizational and follow-up skills

  • Proven ability to quickly learn new systems

  • Excellent data entry skills

  • Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills

  • Previous payroll experience

  • Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

  • Payroll software experience is a plus

  • Foundational knowledge in Warehouse Inventory

  • Purchase Orders experience required

  • Prepare Purchase experience

  • Strong familiarity with billing

  • Track Inventory experience

  • Adeptness in Process Payroll

  • Demonstrated knowledge of data entry
