Robert Half VP/Director of Finance in Orlando, Florida

Description We are in search of a VP/Director of Finance to join our team in the construction industry based in Orlando, Florida. The role involves managing financial strategies, supporting various departments, and driving process improvements throughout the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Offer financial leadership and strategic direction within the organization.

• Implement and manage key metrics to ensure financial and operational objectives are met.

• Conduct budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis as well as ad hoc financial analysis.

• Provide support to operational departments, including sales, land acquisition, marketing, operations, and customer service.

• Contribute to the advancement of overall company initiatives, which may include advisory board presentations.

• Drive continuous process improvement across finance and other operations.

• Handle other related duties as assigned.

• Lead the process of land acquisitions.

• Utilize your skills in Annual Budget, Budget Processes, Construction Accounting, JDE EnterpriseOne, Land acquisition, Land Development Projects to perform your duties effectively. Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a financial leadership role within the construction/contractor industry

• Proven expertise in Annual Budget preparation and management

• Proficiency in Budget Processes, including planning, coordination, and execution

• Experience in Construction Accounting, demonstrating an understanding of the financial intricacies of the construction industry

• Proficiency in using JDE EnterpriseOne software for financial management and reporting

• Experience in Land Acquisition, demonstrating an understanding of the processes and legalities involved

• Proven track record of successfully managing Land Development Projects, with specific attention to financial oversight and control

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Finance, Accounting

• Excellent leadership and team management skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to develop and implement financial policies and procedures

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint

• CPA required - no exceptions
