Hypergrowth company headquartered in the Orlando, FL area is in search for a VP of Finance. The VP of Finance will play a critical role in the growth of the firm.

Primary responsibilities of the VP of Finance will be the following:

Member of Senior Management Team. Builds productive working relationships with other corporate and line executives as well as external constituencies including any lawyers and accountants.

Strategic Leader. Actively involved in all strategic issues facing the Company. The VP of Finance will play a critical role in the execution of the Company’s internal growth and operational initiatives. He/she will be the leading member of the team which sets the financial strategy for the direction of the business, as well as implementing and executing tactical decisions relating to capital management. Furthermore, the VP of Finance will be a thought-leader that is tasked with identifying and executing various internal projects and initiatives that will drive shareholder value.

Accounting and Reporting. The VP of Finance will oversee the accounting team and ensure that all accounting policies and procedures necessary to ensure accurate and timely reporting of the Company’s performance will be maintained. This includes management reporting and analysis, as well as external reporting, that comply with all relevant laws and requirements including SOX. The VP of Finance will be a proactive interpreter of relevant and appropriate accounting issues and ensure that finance and audit activities and practices throughout the Company conform to Company policies, generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), and all applicable laws, including, when applicable, DCAA guidelines and regulations. The VP of Finance will also assess the current financial and accounting management information systems and, if required, serve as project lead for the upgrade of these systems to ones that are both sound and scalable.

Planning and Analysis / Cash Management. Works closely with the CEO and other members of senior management on strategic and operating plans. Monitors performance versus plans and budgets and provides useful and objective analysis to other executives. The VP of Finance will oversee the capital allocation process and will be instrumental in developing best practices for integrating its financial planning and optimizing its allocation of capital. The VP of Finance will also oversee the collection, handling, control, and investment of the Company’s cash.

Financing Strategy. Maintains an ongoing review and analysis of the Company’s optimal capital structure. Actively develops, recommends, and implements changes that support all growth and performance objectives.

Mergers and Acquisitions / New Projects. A key member of the management team along with the Head of Corporate Development and the GC to execute a growth strategy and who will assist in the valuation, due diligence, negotiation and integration process for any mergers, acquisitions, international joint ventures and new projects.

Tax. Works with the tax advisors to ensure that the business receives the most favorable tax positions in connection with its financing and capital management.

Insurance/Benefits. Along with other members of management, the VP of Finance will be actively involved in overseeing and evaluating the Company’s insurance coverage, including employee benefits, property and casualty, directors’ and officers’ liability and business interruption policies.

Information Technology. Responsible for overseeing the information technology function.

Requirements

CPA preferred.

Prior IPO experience preferred

Minimum of 5+ years of SEC reporting experience

7+ years of management experience – possess the ability to build finance and accounting teams.

Experience working with private equity backed ventures

Extensive senior leadership experience in finance and accounting.

ERP Implementation experience preferred,

Diverse background in both public and private accounting practice preferred.
