Robert Half Controller in Ormond Beach, Florida

Description

Great opportunity to join a private growing healthcare firm located in Ormond Beach, FL. The primary function of the Controller role will be to lead and manage the accounting and finance functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting and strategic financial initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the complete accounting function, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll

• Prepare, analyze, and present financial statements and reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis

• Ensure compliance with healthcare-related financial regulations and standards

• Monitor cash flow, manage budgets, and forecast financial outcomes

• Coordinate with external auditors and manage tax reporting and filings

• Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes to support the organization’s strategic goals

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in QuickBooks, ensuring consistency and compliance

• Provide financial insights and recommendations to the executive team for decision-making purposes

• Develop, implement, and maintain effective internal controls and accounting policies

• Support billing, revenue cycle, and reimbursement processes specific to healthcare operations.

Requirements

• Candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Controller role, preferably within the Healthcare/NHS industry.

• Proficiency in QuickBooks Pro is required.

• Demonstrated ability to perform month-end and year-end close procedures.

• Experience in preparing and managing an annual budget is essential.

• The candidate should have a strong background in budgeting and forecasting.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills are necessary.

• Must have a strong understanding of the regulatory environment of the Healthcare/NHS industry.

• Advanced computer skills, especially in MS Excel and other accounting software.

• A relevant certification such as CPA or CMA would be advantageous.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required, a Master’s degree would be a plus.

• Proven experience in financial analysis and reporting.

• Strong analytical and strategic planning skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
