If you have prior training in finance, Robert Half may have an excellent Financial Analyst opportunity for applicants with strong communication skills. Are you interested in working at a well-known Construction company with a growing team? Duties include conducting financial modeling on various financial products as well as measuring, analyzing, and forecasting performance in conjunction with operating plans, advising management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives, and preparing reports for management. A dynamic team is seeking a key business partner to join their efforts. The right candidate must be proficient in forecasting, performance reporting, and expense management.
How you will make an impact
Deliver effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide valuable foresight and decision support
Work with Accounting on the monthly and quarterly financial close process
Flexible individuals comfortable with large amounts of information, and adept at managing expectations
Track monthly and quarterly performance through comparison of actuals versus expectations and enable business partners to handle their resources
Lead monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and if any actions are required
Survey performance to date and assess potential risks and opportunities
Understand and explain internal and external drivers impacting performance and trending
Work with senior executives on strategic deep dives by developing financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, event tracking and execution, strategic resource allocation, and prioritization
Work closely with cross functional partners in Accounting and Operations to execute against plans
Present and monitor forecasting reports
BA/BS degree in finance, accounting or a related field
1+ years of of experience is acceptable
Budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Active problem-solver who listens for customer cues and actively resolves problems with grace and integrity
Spreadsheet and ERP system experience is a plus
Strong communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations
Skills in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly desired (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)
Quality experience with Construction Industry is preferred
Advanced in Microsoft Excel
