Description We are looking for an Accounting Clerk in the construction/contractor industry, to join our team in Overland Park, Kansas. This role involves a variety of accounting tasks, including managing Purchase Orders, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and data entry. This position offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Handle purchase orders and match them with invoices
• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Perform extensive data entry tasks
• Assist with reconciliation tasks as the role progresses
• Use QuickBooks for various accounting functions
• Maintain professional communication with clients and vendors regarding payment issues
• Ensure all financial data is accurate and up-to-date
• Work closely with the accounting team to ensure all financial operations are running smoothly. Requirements • Proficiency in QuickBooks is essential for managing financial records and transactions
• Ability to handle Accounts Payable (AP) tasks, including invoice processing and vendor communication
• Proficiency in managing Purchase Orders to ensure accurate and timely processing
• Strong data entry skills for accurate input and management of financial information
• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) to manage incoming payments and balance accounts
• Familiarity with the construction industry would be beneficial, but not required
• Good communication skills to interact effectively with team members and external parties
• Detail-oriented nature to ensure accuracy in all financial records and reports
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong organizational skills for efficient handling of tasks and responsibilities.
