Robert Half Full Charge Bookkeeper in Owosso, Michigan

Description

We are aiming to find a skilled Full Charge Bookkeeper for our client. You will supervise the financial statement preparation, audit, full cycle A/P, payroll, bank reconciliations, journal entries, month-end close, and cash flow as the Full Charge Bookkeeper. The Full Charge Bookkeeper will also take care of the clerical staff. Our ideal Bookkeeper candidate will be able to thrive under tight deadlines with minimal supervision while performing as a self-driven and organized accounting professional. This permanent employment opportunity is based in the Owosso, Michigan area.

Your responsibilities in this role

  • Extra unique tasks if required

  • Get ready subcontractor 1099's, and any other IRS year-end requirement

  • Handle Accounts Receivable

  • Govern monthly accounting close

  • Mark budget transfers

  • Assemble cash flow projections, as needed

  • Assemble monthly reconciliations, financial statements and all supporting documents

  • Manage Accounts Payable

  • Generate cash account journal entries including loans, taxes, bank fees, 401(k) deductions, etc.

  • Manage sales tax records and create and file quarterly payments

  • Credit card management and reconciliation

  • Clarify business license and gross receipts

    Requirements - Top notch analytical, organizational, and vendor management skills

    • Noteworthy accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred
  • Vow to meet business deadlines

  • Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment

  • Self-starter and strong ethical standards

  • Highly organized and self-motivated

  • Quarterly experience preferred

  • Quarterly Taxes experience highly desired

  • Accounts Payable (AP) experience

  • Knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR)

  • Strong familiarity with Cash Handling

  • Adeptness in QuickBooks

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Financial Statement

  • Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills highly desired

  • Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks

  • BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business-related field preferred
