Robert Half International Administrative Assistant in Pacific Palisades, California


Our client, in the risk management industry, is looking for an Administrative Assistant to support their growing team. This role is remote, and will remain remote if the candidate chooses even after COVID. As the Administrative Assistant you will be responsible for a variety of clerical duties which include but are not limited to: managing caseloads or workers compensation claims for Fortune 500 companies, scheduling doctors appointments, researching doctors/providers, following up on medical appointments, etc. You will use your own computer (or OfficeTeam can provide one if needed). The ideal candidate will be bright, willing to learn, have excellent follow up skills (both written and verbal) and you should have intermediate MS Office skills. The hours for this position are 8-5 with some flexibility if needed. If this position were to go full time the salary range is $41-47K with excellent benefits. Benefits include: health, dental, pension, summer Fridays. Room for growth for the right candidate. The last person was in this role for 5 years!

Major responsibilities

  • Back various projects for other employees

  • Handle telephone calls

  • Organize word processors, files, and faxes

  • Greet and direct visitor


  • At least 1 year of Administrative Assistant experience preferred

  • Internet research skills

  • Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills

  • Experience with Administrative Assistance

  • Compliance Risk experience

  • Assess Risk experience

  • Comprehensive knowledge of workers compensation

  • Corporate Risk experience preferred

    • Strong computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets and presentation software, as well as databases and customer database systems
