This role's primary functions include managing simple and complex State and Federal tax returns for individual and small business. What you get to do every day
Tally and invoice for form preparation fees
Manage incoming client calls to answer tax questions and set appointments
Hand-operate transaction tax returns utilizing various methods (Paper, E File, EDI Upload) with various government agencies
Reach out to clients to gather required information/documents
Equip the Tax software application with appropriate data
Balance other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned Requirements - Excellent data entry skills
AA or BS/BA in Accounting or finance preferred
2+ years preparing tax returns- Proficient with spreadsheets and databases
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Ability to multitask and communicate effectively with individuals of all backgrounds
Comprehensive knowledge of Individual Tax Return
CCH Prosystem experience preferred
