Robert Half Part-Time Bookkeeper in Palm Beach, Florida

Description

We are looking for a Part-time Bookkeeper to join our client's team in Palm Beach, Florida. This position will be 20/hrs per week. As a Full Charge Bookkeeper, your primary role would be to manage all financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits and budgets, and ensure that all financial transactions are accurate and up-to-date. You will also be required to understand and apply financial regulations, conduct regular audits, and provide detailed reports to management.

Responsibilities:

• Process, sell, and record stock gifts and investment trades and transfers

• Maintain accurate credit records and process customer credit applications

• Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports for the treasurer

• Attend board meetings and finance committee meetings

• Process accounts payable processing, check printing, and filing

• Conduct month-end reconciliations for bank accounts and balance sheet general ledger accounts

• Maintain fixed asset program and order supplies

• Enter ADP bi-weekly payroll in the general ledger to be approved by the pastor

• Participate in the annual workmen's compensation audit and maintain personnel files with appropriate documentation

• Add new members into the ACS system, updating current ones as necessary, and maintain Label list for large seasonal mailings

• Establish spend rate at year-end according to policy, transfer quarterly to operating, and establish a prepaid insurance schedulepart

• Ensure all restricted and designated accounts are processed monthly, and their statements reconciled to bank accounts and the general ledger.

Requirements • Must possess proficiency in ADP - Financial Services

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required

• Must have experience with Accounts Payable (AP)

• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary

• Must be able to handle Annual Budget tasks

• Cash Flow Analysis skills are essential

• Must be able to work independently and take full charge of bookkeeping responsibilities

• Excellent communication and organizational skills are required

• Attention to detail and accuracy in work is necessary

• Must have the ability to handle confidential information responsibly

• Prior experience in a similar role would be advantageous.
