Description Our reputable client is seeking a Tax Accountant to join the company. The Tax Accountant will work with financial and income tax statements, making sure that they comply with tax laws by filing their federal and state tax returns. Responsibilities

• Recognize ways to improve profits and tax savings

• Make sure that clients comply with federal, state and local tax regulations

• Prepare tax provisions schedules, returns, payments, reports and maintain a company's tax database

• Accurately prepare quarterly and annual tax reports

• Coordinate outsourced tax preparation work

• Keep up-to-date with tax changes and industry trends by participating in educational opportunities, participating in professional organizations, keeping up with professional networks and reading professional publications

• Advise management about the impact of tax liabilities and corporate strategies or new tax laws

• Find tax solutions to complicated tax issues or errors from incorrect tax filings Requirements - Problem-solving and creative thinking skills

• Bachelors or masters degree in Accounting or relevant field required

• Demonstrated organizational skills

• Great attention to detail

• CPA highly preferred

• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines

• 2+ years of public or corporate tax

• Strong communication and social skills and able to receive criticism well
