Robert Half Purchasing Assistant in Palm Springs, California
Description We are in search of an Accounting Assistant to join our team in the Healthcare/NHS sector, situated in Palm Springs, California, United States. This role encompasses a variety of tasks including creating purchase orders, maintaining spreadsheets, and interacting with vendors. This position offers a contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Creating and processing purchase orders as required
• Handling and directing incoming phone calls efficiently
• Maintaining and updating spreadsheets with the necessary data
• Effectively communicating with vendors, staff, or administration regarding purchasing inquiries or updates
• Processing purchase order requests and working with invoice and purchase order exceptions in our systems
• Issuing pay lines in IMMS and maintaining all special purchase orders for the hospital to ensure accurate receipts
• Utilizing Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Suites, and email software for various accounting functions
• Entering vendor invoices into the system accurately and timely
• Undertaking other duties that may be assigned as needed. Requirements • Must have a minimum of two years of experience in an accounting role
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suites
• Familiar with accounting functions such as managing purchase orders and issuing purchases
• Capable of efficiently entering vendor invoices
• Skilled in managing and organizing spreadsheets
• Proficient in using email software for professional communication
• Experience in the Healthcare/NHS industry is preferred
• Must possess strong organization and time-management skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
