Robert Half Accounts Receivable & Payable in Palo Alto, California

Description

A consumer electronics company located in Palo Alto is seeking a contract to permanent, Accounts Receivable / Payable Specialist with Payroll processing experience.

Role is Full time on site in Palo Alto, primarily focuses on managing Full Cycle Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable with Payroll processing to ensure timely submission of tax filings.

Candidate must have proficiency in QuickBooks software and strong communication skills to effectively liaise with suppliers.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Full Cycle Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) processes, including invoicing, payments, and reconciliations.

  • Process payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with all payroll tax requirements.

  • Prepare and submit tax filings, including sales tax, payroll tax, and other statutory filings as required.

  • Maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks and ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulations.

  • Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions on a monthly basis.

  • Monitor cash flow and prepare cash flow projections as needed.

  • Communicate effectively with suppliers regarding invoicing, payment status, and any discrepancies.

  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparation of financial statements and reports.

    Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • Proven work experience as an Accountant, preferably handling Full Cycle AR, AP, and Payroll responsibilities.

  • Strong proficiency in QuickBooks software and advanced Excel skills.

  • Knowledge of tax preparation and filing processes.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.

  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate across departments and interact with suppliers.

  • CPA certification or progress towards CPA is a plus.
