Robert Half Inventory Control Coordinator in Palo Alto, California

Description

We are offering an opportunity for a Logistics Associate in Palo Alto, California. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and updating inventory data, training staff on inventory management systems, and developing reports on inventory metrics. This role is crucial in ensuring efficient and effective inventory management within our company.

Responsibilities:

• Regularly maintain and update inventory data to ensure accuracy at all times.

• Utilize inventory management systems to extract and analyze inventory data, aiding efficient inventory management and root cause analysis.

• Prepare standard work protocols for all system processes related to inventory management or location usage.

• Train frontline staff on handheld use and inventory management systems in relation to their level of access and job code(s).

• Review demand patterns, inventory on hand, and inventory turns to establish optimum par levels for asset & expense supply locations.

• Assist in creating new par location setups to ensure accuracy in the inventory management system.

• Implement improvement processes and systems to reduce inventory and minimize cost across all supply locations.

• Develop reports on inventory par location utilization and metrics to report on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.

• Monitor all inventory issues and ensure effective resolution.

• Prepare and audit all daily cycle count processes and prepare reports for root cause analysis in relation to gaps.

• Adhere to safety and infection prevention policies, procedures, and guidelines for self, patients, visitors, and employees.

• Maintain all work and break areas in a neat, clean, and organized condition.

• Participate in educational opportunities for professional and self-development.

• Process all paperwork pertinent to applicable duties.

• Respond to patient and non-patient emergencies according to policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Minimum one year of inventory management and/or materials handling and restocking experience.

• Excellent customer service skills.

• Ability to use email and minimal word processing skills.

• Ability to self-motivate.

• Ability to learn quickly and adhere to specific protocols.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced and physical environment.

• Ability to adapt and comprehend new computer systems.

• Consistent and reliable work habits.

• Ability to demonstrate leadership.

• Working knowledge of various computer systems, Microsoft Office.
