We are in search of a Billing and Compensation Specialist, a vital role within our industry. The position is based near Parsippany, New Jersey, and offers an exciting opportunity to be part of our dynamic and growing team. As a Billing and Compensation Specialist, you will have the responsibility of maintaining customer records, resolving customer inquiries, and processing customer applications.

Responsibilities:

• Execute heavy data entry tasks with precision and efficiency

• Utilize software tools to locate necessary documents for basic account maintenance

• Conduct tasks related to account billing, ensuring accuracy and efficiency

• Proactively manage emails and meeting tasks

• Provide support for transitions, including the transfer of business books

• Prepare, audit, and forward all advisor commissions for review

• Perform semi-monthly commission cycle processing, including auditing, importing, reconciliation, and presentation for controller review

• Carry out quarterly duties including forecasting, cash funding, generation processing, submission and resubmissions, and communication about rejections

• Handle responsibilities related to AR Entries and Payroll management

• Assist another Billing Coordinator in managing the tasks mentioned above

Skills:

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems and CRM

• Knowledge of Accounting Functions and Full Cycle Payroll

• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP)

• Familiarity with Auditing and Billing Functions

Requirements

Candidates applying to this position should have the following:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within billing or general accounting

• Professional Services industry exposure required, wealth management preferred

• Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems as well as industry specific system, Orion

• Knowledge of accounting functions including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and auditing

• Familiarity with billing functions and full cycle payroll

• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports

• Strong knowledge of billing and financial concepts

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred but not required.
