Robert Half Customer Service Representative in Parsippany, New Jersey

Description We are offering a contract-to-hire opportunity for a Customer Service Representative based in Parsipanny, New Jersey. The role is primarily focused on providing excellent customer service through handling transactions - including cash handling, answering inbound calls, and data processing. The role requires a high level of computer proficiency, including the use of spreadsheets for data processing, and excellent communication skills to assist customers both in person and over the phone.

Responsibilities:

• Covering lunch breaks and handling banking transactions for our customers, including cash handling

• Answering inbound calls and providing phone assistance to our customers

• Processing data accurately and efficiently, with training provided for specific software and tools

• Utilizing spreadsheets for data processing tasks

• Printing daily reports and potentially working on projects during downtime

• Multitasking and prioritizing tasks, with potential for customers on the phone, in person, and at the drive-up window concurrently

• Learning and adapting to new tasks and responsibilities with patience and willingness

• Representing the face of our financial institution with excellent customer service skills and a professional demeanor

• Utilizing Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word, as well as email and specific banking software

Skills:

• Proficient in Printing

• Excellent Customer Service skills

• Experience with Inbound Telephone Calls

• Proficient in MS Office Requirements • Position requires a minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer service role

• Proficiency in handling inbound telephone calls and providing exceptional customer service

• Detailed knowledge and experience with printing operations

• Proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and prioritize

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

• Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships

• High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
