Robert Half Customer Service Representative in Parsippany, New Jersey

Description We are looking for a Customer Service Representative to join our team in the Paper/Packaging industry located in Parsippany, New Jersey, 07054, United States. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for managing customer requests, processing orders, and maintaining effective communication with customers. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity, providing a platform for the successful candidate to grow and develop within the company.

Responsibilities:

• Handling incoming customer requests and routing them to the appropriate personnel

• Responding to customer inquiries via various channels (email, phone, customer portal) in a professional and timely manner

• Creating and communicating quotes efficiently

• Processing customer orders, invoices, returns, and warranties through CRM/ERP and online customer portals

• Gathering customer information for submission into online systems and setting up initial customer accounts

• Assisting with supporting orders and deliveries in coordination with the parts warehouse and/or factories

• Updating customers on status changes for their orders that may impact expected and requested delivery dates

• Collaborating with other departments (field service, accounting, sales, etc.) to ensure smooth operations

• Supporting the department in achieving specified sales targets

• Assisting in the collection of outstanding invoices as assigned. Requirements • Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in a customer service role, preferably in the Paper/Packaging industry.

• Proficient in answering inbound calls and managing inbound and outbound calls effectively.

• Experience in a call center environment, particularly in customer service.

• Ability to perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently.

• Skilled in managing email correspondence and maintaining professionalism in written communication.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.

• Experienced in order entry and ensuring accuracy in order details.

• Ability to schedule appointments effectively and in a timely manner.

• Strong customer service skills, with a focus on providing exceptional service and maintaining customer satisfaction.

• Ability to handle customer inquiries, complaints, and issues professionally and effectively.
