Robert Half Sales Assistant in Parsippany, New Jersey
Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Sales Assistant in Parsippany, New Jersey. This role is primarily in the pharmaceutical, oral care, and cosmetic industries, where the Sales Assistant will play a key role in supporting sales managers and coordinating various sales-related activities.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in the preparation of machine and aftermarket quotes using various tools
• Finalize quotes received from the factory prior to forwarding to the customer
• Maintain an organized log of quotes in an electronic format
• Input new leads and contact information into the CRM system
• Prepare internal order sheets and customer order confirmations
• Dispatch necessary files and videos as requested by the Sales Manager
• Coordinate the shipping of outgoing packages for the Sales Manager
• Maintain an organized library of manuals and other documentation
• Prepare corresponding margin spreadsheets
• Collaborate with the Sales team on their forecast and relay this information to the Finance Manager monthly
• Assist in the coordination and forwarding of samples to the factory in support of the Sales Managers
• Monitor the designated e-mail inbox for inquiries and direct them to the appropriate department. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Sales Assistant or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in ADP - Financial Services and Concur.
• Experience with CRM and Crystal Reports.
• Familiarity with data processing systems.
• Knowledge of About Time software.
• Ability to handle inbound calls and respond to customer inquiries.
• Understanding of buying processes.
• Experience with cash activity and cash handling.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Excellent organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
• High degree of professionalism and reliability.
