Robert Half Staff Accountant in Parsippany, New Jersey
Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in the Real Estate & Property industry, located in Parsippany, New Jersey. This role involves a mix of remote and on-site work. As a Staff Accountant, you will be engaged in various accounting tasks including account analysis, reconciliations, and journal entries. You will also have the opportunity to utilize your skills in Microsoft Excel and MS Dynamics.
Responsibilities:
• Execute account analysis to ensure accurate financial records
• Undertake reconciliations of accounts to rectify discrepancies
• Prepare and make journal entries for financial transactions
• Maintain the General Ledger to ensure all financial data is recorded
• Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) to manage cash flow
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data organization, including v-lookups and pivot tables
• Perform Month End Close tasks to finalize financial records for the month
• Use MS Dynamics platform for efficient management of accounting tasks
• Continuously monitor customer accounts and take appropriate actions when necessary
• Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently to facilitate financial transactions. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management
• Familiarity with General Ledger maintenance and Journal Entries
• Experience in Month End Close procedures
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively
• Knowledge of real estate and property industry is a plus
• Ethical conduct and integrity in financial management
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
