Robert Half Accounts Receivable Specialist in Pasadena, California
Description
Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and dedicated Accounts Receivable Specialist to join their finance team. As an AR Specialist, you will play a critical role in managing the company's accounts receivable process, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, collections, and cash application. You will work closely with customers, internal departments, and management to maintain strong cash flow and minimize outstanding receivables. This is a Temporary to permanent role.
Responsibilities:
Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on past due invoices through phone calls, emails, and letters.
Resolve billing discrepancies and disputes in a professional and timely manner.
Process customer payments, including checks, credit card payments, and electronic funds transfers.
Reconcile payments received with invoices and update accounting records accordingly.
Investigate and resolve unapplied payments and unidentified cash receipts.
Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to address customer inquiries and issues related to billing and payments.
Maintain accurate customer records and account information in the accounting system.
Prepare and analyze AR aging reports
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2+ years of experience in accounts receivable or related financial role.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and MS Excel.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Well versed in Excel
