Robert Half Grants Manager in Pasadena, California
Description We are offering a contract for a Grants Manager position in Pasadena, California. As a Grants Manager, your primary responsibility will be to oversee all public and private grants activities, ensuring accurate and timely submission of grant billing and reports. You will also be required to work closely with the Chief Financial Officer and other team members to meet the organization's objectives and maintain positive funder relationships.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the monthly logistics, preparation, and submission of a portfolio of grant invoices and periodic reports for a variety of funders
• Guide other Grant Specialists in achieving agency objectives in grants management and funder relationships
• Conduct quality assurance reviews and oversight of invoicing/reporting to ensure compliance with GAAP, Uniform Guidance Title 2 CFR 200, funder specific regulations/requirements, and internal controls
• Ensure all grant invoicing aligns with contract guidelines and that reimbursement requests are correctly recorded in the accounting system
• Assist with the month-end close process by tracking government receivables, booking estimates where applicable, reporting variances, and highlighting potential budget/maximization issues
• Resolve any issues surrounding grant invoices including disallowed expenses or technical issues by working collaboratively with other staff members and funders
• Perform periodic reconciliations of general ledger accounts and prior months to ensure that all applicable expenses are captured in monthly billing
• Maintain the grant funding inventory and tracking worksheets, updating annually as grants renew
• Participate in grant budget review and budget modifications processes
• Track grant budgets and match requirements monthly to ensure funder compliance and maximum utilization, and recommend strategies to ensure spend down. Requirements

• Familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP)
• Experience in managing Government Grants
• Understanding of Federal Grant procedures
• Proficiency in Grant Accounting
• Experience in Grant Management
• Proficiency in Excel Formulas
• Understanding of Budget allocations
