Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in Pasadena, Texas
Description Robert Half is looking for an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk available to start immediately. Based out of the Pasadena, Texas area, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a long-term contract / contract to permanent opening. The Accounts Payable Clerk responsibilities will include matching and batching code invoices, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L, and processing checks.
How you will make an impact
Ensure invoices, checks, and other documents are properly sorted, logged, scanned, and filed
Ensure compliance with company policies while carrying out daily processes and controls accurately and on time
Open, sort, and deliver department mail on a daily basis
Provide customer service to internal business partners
Validate, record and send checks, including expediting special handling
Execute additional tasks as needed
Assist with internal and external audits as needed
Conduct full-cycle A/P
Handle the administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department Requirements - Spreadsheet and database capabilities
2+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred
Quality experience with wire transfer
Well-founded grasp of Maintain Vendor Files
General familiarity with Manage Vendor Relationships
Accounts Payable (AP) experience desired
Knowledge of 3 Way Matching
Experience with Invoice reconciliation
Practical knowledge of Check Runs
Foundational knowledge in Non-po
Proven knowledge of Process Expense Reports
Deep understanding of Purchase Orders
Demonstrated communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
