Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Payroll Administrator in Pasadena, Texas. In this role, you will be maintaining accurate employee records, ensuring compliance with company policies, and supporting the payroll department. Your attention to detail and proficiency in record-keeping will contribute to the smooth functioning of our payroll processes.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain and update employee records, including new hires, rehires, terminations, rate changes, and benefit adjustments.
• Ensure data accuracy and confidentiality in record keeping.
• Input employee information into the payroll system and verify the accuracy of data entries.
• Adhere to legal and regulatory requirements related to employee records and prepare necessary documentation for audits or reporting.
• Collaborate closely with the payroll team, supervisor, and manager to ensure seamless operations.
• Leverage skills in high-volume data entry and record keeping to maintain accurate records.
• Address inquiries related to employee data and communicate effectively with colleagues. Requirements • Demonstrated proficiency in high-volume data entry
• Strong record keeping skills with the ability to maintain records accurately
• Proven experience in payroll administration
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions
• Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous
• Familiarity with payroll software would be a plus
• Knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
