FINANCE MANAGER - Construction Company in Gwinnett Couty
My client, a leading commercial and residential construction company in Gwinnett County, is searching for a Finance Manager to join their team for an immediate, direct-hire opportunity. The Finance Manager should have 3+ years experience in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will possess an accounting or preferred Finance Degree and a strong understanding of financial management principles. The Finance Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing financial operations, ensuring sound financial practices, and contributing to strategic decision making.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain financial models to support business planning and forecasting.
Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations for improving profitability and cost efficiency.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial objectives with overall business goals.
Prepare and manage the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to ensure alignment with corporate objectives.
Monitor budget performance, identify variances, and implement corrective actions as needed.
Create accurate financial forecasts to guide resource allocation and investment decisions.
Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior management.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Monitor cash flow, manage working capital, and optimize cash utilization.
Evaluate financing options and strategies to support the company's growth plans.
Identify financial risks and implement strategies to mitigate them.
Maintain a strong internal control environment and ensure compliance with internal policies.
Prepare ad hoc reports and analysis to support strategic initiatives.
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or other business related field required.
3+ years of relevant finance experience in the homebuilding or construction industry.
Strong proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven leadership abilities and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
