FINANCE MANAGER - Construction Company in Gwinnett Couty

My client, a leading commercial and residential construction company in Gwinnett County, is searching for a Finance Manager to join their team for an immediate, direct-hire opportunity. The Finance Manager should have 3+ years experience in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will possess an accounting or preferred Finance Degree and a strong understanding of financial management principles. The Finance Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing financial operations, ensuring sound financial practices, and contributing to strategic decision making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain financial models to support business planning and forecasting.

  • Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations for improving profitability and cost efficiency.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial objectives with overall business goals.

  • Prepare and manage the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to ensure alignment with corporate objectives.

  • Monitor budget performance, identify variances, and implement corrective actions as needed.

  • Create accurate financial forecasts to guide resource allocation and investment decisions.

  • Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior management.

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Monitor cash flow, manage working capital, and optimize cash utilization.

  • Evaluate financing options and strategies to support the company's growth plans.

  • Identify financial risks and implement strategies to mitigate them.

  • Maintain a strong internal control environment and ensure compliance with internal policies.

  • Prepare ad hoc reports and analysis to support strategic initiatives.


  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or other business related field required.

  • 3+ years of relevant finance experience in the homebuilding or construction industry.

  • Strong proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.

  • Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proven leadership abilities and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
