Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Pembroke Pines, Florida

Description

We are in search of an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Pembroke Pines, Florida. This role entails the efficient and accurate processing of invoices, matching invoices with purchase orders, and performing reconciliations. You will be working in a dynamic environment where training is provided to ensure success in your role.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process invoices on a regular basis

• Match invoices with corresponding purchase orders

• Perform reconciliation tasks to ensure accuracy in accounts payable

• Enter data and maintain accurate records related to invoice processing

• Collaborate with the team to solve any discrepancies in invoice matching and reconciliation

• Utilize 'Accounts Payable (AP)' skills to enhance the efficiency of the process

• Assist with other accounts payable tasks as needed.

Requirements • Proven experience in an Accounts Payable Clerk role or similar

• Familiarity with general accounting principles

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel

• Demonstrated ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records

• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

• Solid data entry skills along with a knack for numbers

• Hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting software (JDE or other full-scale ER systems)

• Proficiency in English and in MS Office

• Customer service orientation and negotiation skills

• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration, or equivalent experience

• Knowledge of applicable Accounts Payable/General Ledger systems and procedures, financial chart of accounts and corporate procedures

• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to handle sensitive, complex and confidential information

• Demonstrated understanding of the Accounts Payable (AP) process.
