We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Tax Analyst in Pepper Pike, Oho. The selected candidate will primarily handle tasks related to payroll and tax, ensuring accurate and efficient operations. This is an exciting direct hire opportunity to really grow with a stable company! The hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM-5:00 PM and is an in-office position.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the payroll functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.

• Assist with payroll tax reconciliations on a daily basis.

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.

• Facilitate and manage the payroll tax responsibilities, including the preparation and submission of necessary tax documents.

• Utilize Mastertax for payroll tax functions, ensuring accurate and up-to-date tax records.

• Maintain and process customer credit applications, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

• Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate actions to collect delinquent payments.

• Leverage Microsoft Excel for various accounting functions and data management.

• Collaborate effectively with other departments and teams to ensure overall financial accuracy and compliance.

• Handle and resolve inquiries and complaints about payroll and tax from employees and external agencies.

• Continually update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

• Knowledge and experience with Mastertax software

• Understanding of accounting functions.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.

• Excellent problem-solving/judgement skills, and high level of attention to detail and accuracy.

• Strong organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure.

• Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines.

• Good skills in number crunching and managing details.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, HR or related field.

• Proven experience as a payroll administrator or in a similar role.

• Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll best practices.

• Very good knowledge of legislation and regulations of the field.

• Proficient in the use of MS Office and payroll software systems.
