Robert Half has an opportunity for you to become a critical part of an innovative Construction/Contractor company, as a full-time Staff Accountant. Candidates should be driven by challenges and working with many components. You might be a good fit for this Staff Accountant position if you can prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. This role's duties include internal reporting during the monthly close, participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes. Maintain fixed asset ledgers, depreciation, and reconciliation
Impromptu reporting and special projects, when requested
Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll
Compose journal entries and conduct the month end close with minimal supervision
Manage schedules for monthly payments and capital lease
Participate in various department-wide initiatives
Manage intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation
Coordinate and analyze a variety of financial data, then report it in a way that is useful and understandable
Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks
Regular maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries
Produce analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for reporting by management
Implement, maintain, and adhere to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
In-depth experience with reconciling month end balance sheet accounts

Requirements - Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines
Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills
Proven knowledge of Liens
Accounts Payable (AP) experience preferred
Deep understanding of Construction Accounting
Well-founded grasp of Project Budgets
Command of Construction Accounting
General familiarity with AIA Documents
Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills
Experience with ERP systems
Exemplary analytical, quantitative and social skills
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment
5+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience
Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
