Robert Half Project Accounting Analyst in Perry, Georgia

Description We are in search of a Staff Accountant to join our team in Perry, Georgia. The role will involve managing various aspects of project contracts, analyzing revenue and costs, reconciling general ledgers, and providing support to our Project Accounting Manager. This position will also require close collaboration with our procurement and accounts payable teams, as well as the management of commissions from project start to finish.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the setup of project contracts, including addendums, change orders, and cancellations.

• Conduct regular analyses of revenue and costs associated with projects.

• Perform general ledger reconciliations and prepare journal entries as required.

• Assist the Project Accounting Manager with month-end close duties for projects, purchasing, and inventory.

• Collaborate with procurement and accounts payable teams to resolve project-related expense issues and ensure accurate accounting.

• Manage commissions from the start of a project, through processing earned commission, and reconciliation of individual salespersons commission accounts.

• Provide support documentation, including project expense invoices, billing, and receipt histories to the Bid Department and Operations Departments as required.

• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

• Utilize skills such as Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Month End Close, Oracle, Cost Analysis, Analyze Revenues, General Ledger System, Support purchasing, Accounts Payable (AP), Billing. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar.

• Proficiency in Oracle and General Ledger System.

• Demonstrated experience in Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, and Journal Entries.

• Proven ability to handle Month End Close activities.

• Experience in Cost Analysis and Analyzing Revenues.

• Ability to support purchasing and manage Accounts Payable (AP).

• Proficient in Billing procedures.

• Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
