Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Perrysburg, Ohio

Description

We are seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in PERRYSBURG, Ohio. This role is integral to our financial operations, focusing on the processing, reconciliation, and maintenance of accounts payable. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including responding to internal and external inquiries, reconciling vendor statements, and managing a high volume of emails. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and process customer invoices promptly and accurately

• Reconcile vendor statements to the accounts payable side

• Respond effectively to a high volume of emails, primarily regarding payment inquiries and statement reconciliations

• Handle internal inquiries from team members, such as the age of specific invoices

• Utilize Microsoft Excel and Oracle for various tasks, including vendor statement reconciliation

• Apply your skills in Dynamics for invoice processing and data entry

• Monitor accounts payable backlog, adjusting for factors such as seasonality and cashflow

• Prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced, adaptable environment

• Apply your knowledge of account reconciliation and check runs to ensure the accuracy of accounts payable records

• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Requirements • Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP.

• Demonstrated experience in Accounts Payable (AP) and Account Reconciliation.

• Ability to process invoices and perform data entry tasks efficiently.

• Experience in coding invoices for accurate departmental chargebacks.

• Skilled in conducting check runs to ensure timely vendor payments.

• Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the accounts payable field.

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• High level of integrity and confidentiality with handling sensitive financial information.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred but not mandatory.

• Previous work experience in a similar role is desirable.
