Robert Half Full Charge Bookkeeper in Perrysburg, Ohio

Description

We are seeking a meticulous and proactive individual to fill the role of a Full Charge Bookkeeper in our organization. Based in PERRYSBURG, Ohio, this role will involve maintaining accurate financial records, handling both accounts payable and receivable, and performing bank reconciliations. The successful candidate will be proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel, demonstrating the ability to work independently and manage various accounting functions.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting processes including but not limited to: A/P, A/R, payroll, journal entries, and bank reconciliations

• Utilize QuickBooks for the input and processing of all financial data

• Prepare and send out customer invoices, ensuring timely payment and maintaining accurate records

• Handle monthly and year-end closings and coordinate auditing processes

• Oversee the accurate and timely processing of payroll

• Prepare financial statements and reports for internal use

• Maintain confidentiality of all financial data

• Comply with all local, state, and federal laws regarding finances, tax filings, and reporting

• Continually update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and maintaining personal networks.

Requirements

• Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in a full charge bookkeeping role

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks

• Demonstrated ability to perform all accounting functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Proven ability to manage bank reconciliations

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Excellent organizational and time-management skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Must have a solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles

• Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
