Accounting Professional III (Contractor) in PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania
Description Robert Half has a superb opportunity for an Accounts Receivable (A/R) detail oriented at a growing company. To succeed in this role, you will enter, post and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer A/R issues, prepare aging report, place billing and collection calls, maintain cash receipts journal, update, and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L. This is a long-term contract / contract / temporary Accounts Receivable Clerk position and is based in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area.
Pinpoint delinquent customer accounts through various means, including skip-tracing, phone contact, written correspondence, and make arrangements for payment
Verify codes and documents
Square bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in diverse ledgers
Support, communicate, and reinforce the mission, values and culture of the organization
Offer information to shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stakeholders
Execute a range of foundational accounting tasks in agreement with normal procedures, including general accounting tasks
Take care of payments and compile segments of monthly closings and annual reports in compliance with GAAP
Contact clients to help resolve payment issues; assist in setting up payment plans Requirements - Demonstrated knowledge of Creativity
Adeptness in Practices
Foundational knowledge in general ledger
Procedures experience required
Deep understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)
Financial reporting experience
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field
General proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel preferred
Experience with ERP systems
Strong analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy
2+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable
Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
